Just wondering if someone could tell me if the sx alarm switches on the rear of the doors and under the hood are supposed to have the little foam type bumpers that slide over the shaft of the switch like the front jamb switches that work the key in buzzer and interior lights? Couldn't find a thread that said yay or nay, can't seem to find out in my aim either? someone out there must know? Thanks in advance as always!!!

Re: 71 sx door jamb switch bumpers
Steve I believe the service NOS replacements have the piece of foam, I do not recall the factory switch's having this feature.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top

Re: 71 sx door jamb switch bumpers
They do not have anything on the switch. If the gap between the door jamb and the tip of the switch needed to be reduced a rubber (?) bumper was added (glued) to the door jamb. It's about 3/8" square if I recall correctly.- Top

Re: 71 sx door jamb switch bumpers
Thanks Rich, that's exactly what I have, plus one more for the hood alarm, all working well. But I had someone comment on my car that the switches should have the foam sleeve/bumper things on the courtesy lamp switches for sure and probably the ajar/alarm switches too? Tried to research it but couldn't find much. Thanks for the pics! Steve- Top
