    '66 - '67 A.I.R. pump

I have two K19 A.I.R. pumps in '66-'67 configuration. Both with with "T" outlet fitting on the bottom (forward of relief valve) & both have two un-machined, solid bosses on the back cast iron cover. One is stamped 03562A (Feb 4 '66), the other 24162A (Aug 28 '66). Seems like I recall that an 'A' suffix is correct for '66, but that '67 model year pumps were 'P' suffix. Perhaps the change was calendar year related rather than model year. Or, could my 2416 be a service component? Thanks in advance for any advice in ID.

    Re: '66 - '67 A.I.R. pump

    Jeff,

67 pumps were coded P. The letter is the "configuration code" for the pump. I am not sure about 66 pumps. There were slight modifications to Corvette A.I.R. pumps from 66 to 67. There is some good information relating to the 66 - 67 smog systems in this article even though the article talks about Camaro systems. http://www.camaros.org/emissions.shtml
