    Holley 4150 list # R 6239-1

I stripped the threads in the main body housing when I was tightening one of the bolts that holds the front (primary) fuel bowl to the main body. The entire carburetor is an original numbers matching unit and obviously would like to save it.

What options do I have to repair? Is/are there a vendor(s) that can re-thread the stripped threads?

Many/most Holley rebuilders will likely have a Heli-Coil that will fix this.
Contact Eric at Vintage Muscle Car Parts, or similar vendors, and see what they say.

I have replaced the threads in a couple of Holley's main bodies using Heli-Coil inserts. But the Heli-Coil at the auto parts stores. Not a difficult job and a long lasting repair to use original screws/bolts.

Yes, a Heli-Coil can repair this and can actually result in a stronger and more durable thread. However, as you probably know having done it, the most important thing is that the drilling and tapping operations have to be ABSOLUTELY STRAIGHT-AND-TRUE. The drilling should be done in a drill press with the carb air horn carefully set-up. The straight-and-true tapping is the hard part.
