My 62 which I bought in 1995 had the exhaust manifolds coated when I got it.
In my opinion they still look great after all these years.
They have been rained on, had oil spilled on them, a rubber hose stuck to on and it all wiped off.
Unfortunately I have no idea what the coating is???
