Hi Gents, seeking your support and advice.
I have a 32k original mile '78 Pace Car which has light oxidation on the wheels. The wheels are original Kelsey Hayes slotted wheels with the "QC" stamp inside along with Made in Mexico. Pics below.
I was able to see moderate success in using the following process:
1) Eagle 1 Self Etching cleaner and steel wool on inside of wheel to remove grime and face of wheel to remove what professionals call 'white rust' or oxidation
2) Flitz Polish and/or Blue Magic Polish on the face of the wheel with either a battery powered or electric drill + polishing head. Head is a bit more cloth like and less Mother's Power Ball like.
Before and after pics are below. Don't get me wrong, the wheels look nice. I would like just a bit more polished look.
Thanks,
Dan
