Vin number for first black '58?

Does anyone know when the first '58 came off the assembly line painted black? There must have been some study done on this in the past. I would like to ask the members for their knowledge on this subject.

Dear Loren,
OK, if you say that the first black 1958 Corvette to be built at St. Louis was about VIN 8,000, that would have been in about the third week of June that year. There were an additional 1168 Corvettes built after that, of which 493 were black, which was about 18.6% of production. Do you think it could have been possible for a black one to be as early as March 24, 1958?

Gut reaction Joe, based on admittedly faulty memory. After your response, went looking for the backup material and came up empty. I've reached out to an old DuPont friend - one of the issues seems to be whether Black "replaced" Charcoal or was in addition to Charcoal. We'll see what I find in the pit and/or what DuPont furnishes.
