C1 1961 Turn signal mechanism sticky

Can't seem to find anything helpful about this issue on my 1961. (did I tell you all I bought my friends
    1961?)
I was having issues with the cancellation of the signals so I replaced all the parts in the assembly.
It worked ok for a while but now it is very sticky and will not cancel. Took it all apart again and white
greased all the rubbing points. Works ok until I tighten the large screw on the left on the assembly. You all
know the one I mean. The one the assembly pivots on. I am hoping there is a trick or something that
will make it move more freely. I expect the replacement parts are "china" born so they don't fit quite
    right. Any suggestions?

David, Did you put a lock washer between the "bell housing" and the pivot bolt. This is required or the pivot bolt head will tighten down on the signal mechanism.

Bob, I just noticed that lock washer when you buy a new bolt. Mine is missing. I'll try putting one in.
      Thanks

Bob is spot on. Exactly the problem. 1/4" LW will fix it by raising the stud "just right".
