If you get a very late C-3 factory jack --- they are not too bad and will still fit in the jack well

Triple AAA covers you in any car you drive, triple AAA plus covers towing for up to 100 miles of towing...
And you can waltz in to any office and get TripTik planning for your next adventure showing hazards, speed traps, construction, etc..
Nearly every motel chain offers AAA discounts, etc..

Lots of benefits beyond changing a flat.

Now, in my youth, I raised many a tire on a scissors jack with no mishaps. Many people don't set the conditions needed to minimize accidents.

I watched one guy changing a rear tire and he rolled the car off the jack onto the rear drum barely avoiding injury.
He was cranking on a 4-way lug nut wrench on lug nuts he hadn't loosened while the car was still on the ground without the front wheels chocked. You can't cure stupid.

OK, I have a spare C3 jack, looks unused, date code is 9J27, is that a 1979 Dec 27 ? Would this be a candidate for almost usable jack for my 64? Thanks,
          Dan

I carry this one in my '62. Looks pretty substantial. But I've never had to use it. Fits inside the rim of the spare tire.
