    starter rebuilder

Is there any people in the Hartford Ct area rebuilding starters?

    Re: starter rebuilder

If you can remove it yourself, you can rebuild it yourself. It's pretty simple. All the wear parts are readily available at most auto parts stores. The disassembly/assembly procedure and all the electrical checks are in the '63 Corvette Shop manual and later COMs.

The only tough part is replacing the armature bushings... best to leave that to a pro with the proper tools and experience, but they may be okay.

Thanks I did find a shop here and all he wanted was $300.00 That does not include remove and replace. I will attempt it my self. Thanks
