GM never specified a different dipstick for 1969's with big block and A/C. However, there were 2 different dipsticks used for 1969. Most 1969's, A/C or not, used dipstick GM #3925520. This dipstick had a white plastic plug. Some 1969's received dipstick GM #3959158. This dipstick had a long, angled handle with a loop finger-hold, flattened end, and no plug. Some folks have INFERRED that this dipstick was intended for A/C applications but GM never said so, and as far as I can tell, it was intended to be used for all 1969 big blocks. It did not really appear, at all, until later in the model year, though.
Some folks think the dipstick with red plastic plug was used for 1969 applications with big block and A/C. I totally disagree with that. I don't think this dipstick even existed during the 1969 model year. In addition, while the above two referenced dipsticks used the same dipstick tube, the red-plugged dipstick uses a different and longer tube. The red-plugged dipstick did later become SERVICE for 1969 (when also used with the longer tube) but I don't think it was ever originally used for any 1969. It did come into PRODUCTION use, though, for the 1970 model year for all Corvette big blocks. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Your car could have originally used the white-plugged GM #3925520, especially if it is an earlier build car. In addition, I don't think that the GM #3959158 is reproduced and originals are very difficult to find. If you do find a used one, I'll bet you won't like the price. NOS? I doubt it. This piece was discontinued in November, 1970.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
