    94 LT1 air filter lids

I am doing a survey. I'm trying to find about when the 93-early 94 cars used the double hump air filter lids on the left.
Most 94's used the louvered lid on the right.
If you could email me the last five of your vin# and sequence #, and which lid your car has on it.

    Thanks

I will pass the info along to the team leader.

According to GM the style cover seen in your first 2 photos was used only for 1992-93 LT1 and 1994-95 export LT1. However, it would not surprise me if the style was also used for all early 1994 LT1. I say that with slight trepidation since such a component has potential emissions and other regulatory certification implications which are usually model year specific.

For what it's worth, the style cover seen in your first two photos actually consists of TWO components: the cover and a resonator. The cover is the steel component. The plastic tubular component is a resonator. In SERVICE, these parts were available only separately.

The 94-96 LT1/LT4 cover lacked a separate resonator, if a resonator function was included, at all, with the cover.

By the way, all 1990-95 LT5 engines (ZR1) used the 1994-96 style cover.
          In Appreciation of John Hinckley

Thanks for the info Joe, with the ZR-1 engines.
So if there are any 94's owners with either motor, Let's here from you.
