    Is Re-stamping OK?

I have a 1966 283 ci base motor coupe. I would like to convert it into a 427/435 (and add sidepipes) and then sell it. Who is best at doing this so it will be undetectable? Depending on how much I can sell it for, I may or may not tell the buyer.

Although I want the lines on the pad to look just right, I probably won't let an inspector use one of those telescopes.

    BTW...who makes the best paperwork?

If none of you rubes have the answer, I'll ask on the Corvette Forum.

    Have a nice day,

Busy day at the bus terminal?

Don't be cheap.......make it FI and park it in a barn if you want the big $$$ return.

Send pics when you're done ............. with a blue ribbon.

Is stamping OK? Sure it is! 95% of the 1967 435HP's have been re-stamped haven't they? I inspected one the other day that was a 435 1967 with an original window sticker. Owner said it was an original big tank! Rare car as it had a small block front end super glued on! He gave 95K and needed it restored. Bargain don't you say?

I'd sell that car to a guy on Long Island who seems to dig 1-of-Zero cars like that.

I think it's a pretty good attempt at it. Not good enough to suggest he gives up his day job though. Speaking of that- Hey Mark! Have they replaced assistant plane drivers with dogs yet? You know, the ones that bite your fingers if you attempt to touch any of the knobs and dials?
