    Harry,

I miss typed, you are correct the carb is 3972123. Looks like you have the vapor canister, it should have 4 ports. I think your carb is dated 3 week of May 1969 but I am not 100% sure since i don't have my guide with me. Looks like your missing the heat shield thats installed between the carb and intake part no 3972156.

      Hi Terry

Thanks for confirming carb and canister, will ask shop guys if they might still have shield...carb just rebuilt there

Once I get car on lift, hope to confirm starter and bell-housing numbers (for CTV build)

        Hello All

Posting additional pics of 3899621 bellhousing and 1108400 1F 26 starter. Really need car on lift for better bellhousing date/status marker photos, way too faint. And would like any/all feedback on starter since I see original 1108400 hard to come by. Thought these were supposed to have numbers along rear/side (running vertical) yet only found part number on my starter front cover; suspect this is replacement?

Also providing several additional VIN+engine stamp pics for your expert eyes; all attached engine stamp photos shown at the bottom.

          Harry,

Any chance of some with higher resolution even if it means cropping out everything but the stamp pad?
If I download these and magnify them, they still get fuzzy relatively quickly.

              Harry------

621 bellhousing and 1108400 starter was not used on "CTV" engines. So, it's like I said before: either the stamping is a mistake or the bellhousing, clutch and starter were changed at St. Louis (or, possibly, later).

By the way, the spacer used between the AIR pump bracket and the waterpump is an incorrect configuration. Plus, it should be painted, not bare metal.

                    Harry,

Any idea who restored the car, or when?

                        Hi Patrick

Owner has been bringing into Rick Tucker's place (Tuckers Performance and Collision Repair, Las Vegas) for some 10-12 years now. Rick's team just rebuilt the carb, fuel pump and changed brakes/plugs before I purchased. Rick is pretty picky re originality and the work he does on classics and Corvettes. His team performs a lot of high-end builds and is the only one I would trust working on my '67 Shelby GT500 recreation; please don't hold the Ford ownership against me.

OK. Was most of the work then done at Rick's or was it done prior to the previous owner?

Looks like a very nice car, but had a few comments/questions.

Is the entire bell housing painted orange? If so, it has been out of the car or replaced.

The vacuum control relay has been replaced with the wrong style. Should have two small bumps.

I was trying to do some math (trying being the key word). Your engine was built on Friday, Feb 13th 1970. What day was your car built? My math assuming a Mon - Fri work week comes out to either Monday, Feb 16th or Tues Feb 17th. Could an engine be built, shipped and installed in such a short time?

There appears to be a second "V" here.

                              ..............

Smog pump fan is late 1972 or newer, that along with the wrong spacer that Joe pointed out probably means the AIR system was removed early on like many cars and replaced sometime later in the cars' life.
