HI:
I have an early build '67 coupe with a tele wheel. (1st week of December '66)
I am trying to find out what the correct parts are for the lower steering column shaft area below and touching the firewall mounted support bracket.
With the early cars there is a grove for a steel retainer ring, and then a cad plated retainer plate and then the spring? ----and then I can't seem to identify the rest of the parts ...... the photo snip below shows what some of the parts should be (this is obviously for a later car --- note the clamp vs. the retainer ring typical of early cars). Note: this page is from a 1973 vintage "Parts Catalog for 53-72 Corvettes"....

I also have this part --- but the manual is not clear with regard to its being used or not ----

What are the correct parts for an early tele wheel car ----as I indicated it appears from bottom up to be snap ring, retainer plate, spring...????then what ..plastic spacer...bearing etc?
Any help from owners of an early tele-wheel '67 would be greatly appreciated...
Regards
Bill
