1963 FI fittings from gas filter

Is the fitting that goes into the back of the FI unit coming from the gas filter chrome or brass on a Feb. car? Mine is brass but CC has the filter, chrome lines and four chrome fittings. Thanks in advance.

Jerry, Look in the 6th edition on page 97 for into on fuel lines. I assume you have that manual. If not even the older additions have the info.
    John
    P.S. The fitting is chrome.
The inlet fitting is cadmium plated steel.
The fuel filter has two fittings: The one you asked about is chrome. The 90 degree fitting is typically chrome. But not always although a lot of the gurus don't agree with me. I have seen the 90 degree fitting with industrial nickel. But the boys say the chrome flaked off but I don't buy that. Anyhow make it chrome also.
The fittings that typically come with the repro lines are "fat" fittings. All you can get today easily.
The fuel filter fitting and inlet fitting has an OD of 9/16.

Another problem Jerry is this. Today all you can buy is a '63 to '65 fuel injection chrome line kit. Well wait until you try and install the line that goes from the 4657 pump to the 90 degree fitting on the AC GF-90 fuel filter. You will see it doesn't fit!!! You see the '63 fuel line is all by itself and not one makes it anymore. So you will have to massage it somehow.
Then there is the big fitting on the fuel pump. I forget the finish on the fitting. Probably bare but could be chrome.?

The same line John points out "Well wait until you try and install the line that goes from the 4657 pump to the 90 degree fitting on the AC GF-90 fuel filter. You will see it doesn't fit!!" That same problem exists for the 64 (at least a March car), in fact I'm still using the original line since I considered the repo unacceptable. It's still shinny enough that it gets no deduction, however unless John or a guru is judging nobody will notice.
