JG says 3/8 nut on stud. Was the nut a regular nut and did it have a washer, either a lock or star washer? Thanks in advance

Re: 1963 L84 clean air tube and stud
Jerry, The AC GF-90 filter and the clean air tube both share the same nut and flat washer. Took years to convince the world that the washer on the filter was flat.
Recap: 63 to '65 FI takes two of 3/8" SAE flat washers. And two thin hex nuts. One for clean air tube and one for nut.
See page 97 for filter info. You didn't ask about the filter but am excited its in the 6th edition.
In the AIMS: Sect L84 sheet 5.00 it shows the Prod. Pipe assembly aka clean air tube. Shows the nut and the washer.
I think there is a pic in the aims with details but can't find it. I might be missing a page.
Can anyone help here on this detail in the aims?Last edited by John D.; July 14, 2016, 09:31 AM.- Top

Here is the stuff, as mentioned the same parts were used for the tube. I'll second John's excitement.Attached Files- Top
