Where can I get a steel choke tube and should it be chrome for a Feb. 14th car? Thanks in advance.

Jerry,
I would check with John DeGregory, phone number (724) 832-3786. or Gary Hodges, phone number (503) 588-3883. John is located in Pennsylvania and Gary in Oregon. Both are excellent and long established fuel injection expert's.

If you want an original style double hump I think you're out of luck in repo.

Meanwhile not up to par. Its so hot today that if you own a fuel car leave it home. In the 90's. Tried to work on vendor trailer but almost passed out.
RJ: What is the finish on the fittin on plain steel line. Nut to choke housing. Is it brass or zincad. I forget.- Top

Re: 1963 FI choke tube
Sorry for robbing your choke Jerry. To repeat the you need a chrome plated steel choke tube. Don't overtighten the chrome nut going on the choke housing. You will strip out the threads. It doesn't have to be squeaky tight anyhow.
The biggie here is the heat tube that goes thru the exhaust manifold. Have a new SS one installed whether it needs it or not. Otherwise if its rusty you will fill the choke housing up with carbon and the choke will come die quickly. Makes a horrible mess. JD- Top
