What a great guy! He always went above and beyond. Ken was a great help to us in all of our Regionals, and Bend this year was no exception!
      God bless, Wayne

It is with great sadness to hear of the passing of Ken. He was a great friend, supporter and person. The NCRS and Indiana has lost a great man. It was always good to see his big smile no matter were we were.

WOW, the news hit me lake a ton of bricks. Ken will surely be missed. He was always helpful in providing guidance on the judging field and helped me progress as a master judge. We also shared the same love of dogs. We'll all miss him. Prayers go out to his family.

                    Re: Ken Sleeper

I was fortunate enough to have been able to help with the April Regional. I don't participate in many of the activities, not because of a lack of interest but because unlike many of my fellow Indiana Chapter members, I'm still working to earn my fortune (how they afford those C2's I'll never know). So I work constantly, and when not working, I have a couple of cars in various states of restoration to fill in that free time.

However, when I could make events, Ken always recognized and welcomed me. We'd speak, share thoughts, and he seemed to genuinely welcome my presence even though I probably didn't deserve it (compared to how hard other chapter members work for the betterment of the chapter and hobby). He was a friendly fellow, quick with a smile, and seemed to know everyone. Those folks are rare and a gift.

I'm probably not the best member to speak for the Indiana Chapter, but if my comrades will forgive me this once, I believe I can speak for all when I say we'll miss Ken deeply. I'm not referring to the hard work and long hours he generously gave the chapter, but rather for the friendship and fellowship he demonstrated and encouraged. I know I'll personally miss his welcoming smile and "You got that thing running yet?" questions that always spurred me to work a little harder.

We're a better chapter for having known him. We're a better hobby for him knowing us. Goodbye and God bless, Ken.

I last saw Ken when I came back to IN. for the BJ show as 3 of my old Corvettes were there. We had a long chat which I will always remember. He was also out here in Az when I had my 70 judged at the Az regional. He and I used the same guy to work on our Corvettes in Auburn. He did a lot to bring the NCRS chapter & Regional meets to Auburn where I was from. Will miss the big guy. RIP.
