Seat Frame - Gloss or Semi Gloss Black

Getting ready to have the seats recovered in my '67 and '72 and need confirmation of whether the seat frames for both years were painted gloss black. I see reference to gloss black in the '67 Technical Reference Manual but no mention of finish in the '72 manual.

I would call the 68-72 seat frame paint gloss black. Of course, there are a "bazillion" shades of black and exactly which gloss level it really is, I could not tell you.

They were originally dipped in a vat of thinned gloss black paint.
