Removing radiator on "67 BB with AC

Looks like I'm going to have to pull my radiator for repair or replacement due to a small leak from tank or tube close to drain petcock. I've read procedure in Chassis Service manual: Remove hood, hoses and fan;remove bolts along top of radiator support, right and left radiator hold down clamps, and shroud center bracket. Remove horns and bolts retaining fan shroud to radiator support. Then work radiator and shroud from vehicle 9assume as a unit). I'd appreciate thoughts on best way, any shortcuts, whether agree with CSM, or pitfalls from those who have done this. Haven't found anything specific about doing this on a '67 BB in the archives. Really have to remove horns? As noted , my car has factory AC.
    Thanks

There are a couple of different approaches regarding removing the radiator. One is to tilt the core support forward to ease removal. (In my view not suggested with all the AC lines to the condenser and dryer.) That method may work on cars without factory AC. (Horn removal may be needed applying this method.)
I would suggest to remove the alternator/brackets and get the AC compressor out of the way (can be accomplished without removing the lines from it.) Also remove the WP pulley, fan/clutch. Place towels over the a-arms and lift out the radiator with the shroud together.
    Hope this helps.
