I replaced the rear shocks on my 63 with KYB's. There were non-original Delco's on the car. The hardware on the old set was not correct and consisted of a flat washer, lock-washer, and thick nut. There were no seperate inboard or out-board rubber bushings because the lower shock eye already had a pressed in bushing in it.
The KYB's also had a pressed in bushing as do most current shocks on the market. I ordered correct mounting hardware to get the cup washer and the kit came with the rubber bushings. Should I have pressed out the rubber bushing from the lower shock eye and used the in-board and out-board bushings from the kit, or is it ok to simply use the pressed in bushing on the shock?
