C3 Seat belt length / aftermarket retractors

I've got an FEB'68 build with original retractor assembly in +/-8" long black plastic sleeve under seat. The original belts & retractors are totally gone so I'm replacing belts with aftermarket generic or used GM from the era.

Question: what's original length of both the fixed and adjustable side of lap belts? Mine were cut off so no idea of dimensions.

Q2: there are a couple different clip-on retractors out there, one black plastic the other is metal both offered by Zip, CorvCentral, Eklers etc. Anyone use these have an opinion pro or con?

Yes I did and for all the 68'rs searching these posts here is some good info on seatbelt length from member jim trekell:

"...Gary it has taken time but this is what I have measured on my 1968. Both seat belts are about 29 inches from the anchor point to the buckles. I did remove them, just measured with a tape measure from one end to the other..."
