1969 Fuel tank metering or sending unit..who made them and how are they marked

I am looking to replace an early 69 fuel tank sending unit for a judging car.
What kind of logos or markings are on the original units?
Also a picture would be helpful.
    Thank You

The original units were manufactured by the AC Division of GM. The bottom of the flange plate was stamped as follows:

    AC
    Made In
    USA

The stamping is virtually impossible to see when the unit is mounted in the fuel tank and the spare tire carrier installed.

I think it is a AC Part 6428065?

No, GM #6428065 is the 1963-67 standard tank fuel meter unit for C2 Corvettes. The unit applicable to 68-74 was GM #6428164. The two are not interchangeable.

I should have mentioned that either the 6428065 or the 6428164 could be installed in either a 63-67 or 68-74 fuel tank inasmuch as both tanks are essentially the same in configuration and fuel meter flange. However, the units have different electrical design and are compatible only with the dash units specific to 63-67 or 68-74 model years.
