Source for temperature sending unit 1965 L-79

I am looking for a source for a temperature sending unit for my 1965 L-79 coupe.
I checked Long Island Corvette Supply catalog online; they only provide a (seemingly) generic replacement.
My preference would be an original but a good service replacement will suffice.
I believe that original units have a part number on them and possibly other script.
Other suppliers offered a replacement unit for 1957 thru 1967; I don't think that is correct since there at least 2 different temperature ranges: 210 degrees for low horsepower and 240 degrees for high horsepower.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

      Murray,
John is correct in advise you get an original. I'm assuming you actually want it to function. Who knows what kind of crap you will get with a replacement reproduction...........

        Murray,

I have purchased a few NOS and tested good originals off of EBAY. There are usually one or two on there at any one time.

As far as original goes, this is what you'd be looking for. This one is [not for sale]:

            Murray,

I had an orginal one and it read to low like 140-150F. I bought a TU-5 from Autozone and it read low as well. I also bought one from Electric Limited but I never installed and they say it will work correctly. I bought an A/C Delco # G1852 GM # 12334869 an its spot on 180-190, I found it on e-bay for $10. I think the 12334869 is a replacement for the 1513321 noted above. Make sure your using an IR gun so you know how hot your car is.

Yes, the 12334869 is the replacement for the 1513321. The 12334869 is still available from GM and Delco. However, I've heard many reports that it does not read correctly.

                Joe:

Are there any identifying marks/stampings on the unit itself to differentiate model numbers?

No, there are no part numbers or other identifying numbers on the sender. The only stamping is "AC Made in USA 12V".

                    Joe,

I guess I was lucky maybe the one I got is old stock but it works and it's right on the money. The 12334869 has no markings at all on it.
