I purchased my 1966 Convertible, L-79 in early 1967 from the original owner who purchased it from Wink Chevrolet in Michigan. He took delivery of the car at the factory in St. Louis, drove it to California where he was drafted.
I drove the car until about 1970 and am in the process of making the car roadworthy. It has 44K, original paint, top, and upholstery.
Looking at the Corvette brings back many memories.

I bought my 70 LT-1 is 1972 with about 7500 miles on it. I put a somewhat detuned 1969 Camaro ZL-1 in it about 1984. My avatar is the ZL-1 without the intake manifold, showing the distinctive internal gussets, but it is hard to see in the little picture. My next project is to put the LT-1 back in.

I've owned my 1969 since new. I factory-ordered it in July, 1969 and it was delivered to me on September 30, 1969. So, I've had it for 54 years now.

I've owned by 1992 since new, too. I factory ordered it and it was delivered to me on November 24, 1991. So, I've had it for almost 32 years now.

i've had 57 vin 4450 and 57 vin 1093 for 53 years. i've had 65 L84 vin 9302 for 52 years. the kids get them when i'm teats up. mike mccagh
