I assume that the rubber cover for the solenoid is extra!

No, it's free.....the original 767 solenoid had no rubber cover! This is an original NOS 767 and there are no provisions to retain a boot. The later model 789 solenoid had a boot.

Is it my old eyes or do the characters appear to be raised as opposed to stamped into the block pad?

Hi Ed,

Yes, I can relate to that, but they are definitely stamped....1st 5 are gang stamped, next 2 are individuals and the last 5 are ganged.
