    Ebay barn find 63 fulie

There is a 63 fulie listed on Ebay

With a part I do not recognize. It is directly under the steering column.
It appears to read temperature and has an adjustment knob on it.

It has the same finish as the dash and appears to be original.

Anyone have an idea what it is?

Whatever it is it is NOT original to the car.... some type of "owner inspired addition" as we say ------

    Interesting car though.......

Very interesting, love that fuel filter. The term "Rode hard and put away wet" comes to mind.

It's an air shock regulator made by Delco.- http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-GM-DELCO...FXSwdJ&vxp=mtr

Car is nasty, but a lot of stuff looks very original - under all that "patina"

That car sold for $35,000 at the Mecum auction at Indy last month.

A '63 with a serial number in the 2400 range was built in October 62. Therefore the fuel injection unit on that car is a service replacement unit.
Notice the lack of recessed nozzle blocks. The correct FI unit may also have been one with the bosses stickingout the front, etc On the other hand it may be a tad late for that but it definitely would need the recessed blocks. No chrome was used on that FI unti except for the flag. Which is on backwards.
What a project car. Whew!!!! Love the air cleaner, the decal, and the original hose clamps. Correct passenger exhaust manifold.

Thanks but I am not a very good judge. If I had the chance to judge a 63-64 without the owner around (which I typically know) I could do a really good on mechanical. But if the owner (friend) is looking over the shoulder then I have a hard time.
Would rather be in charge of the food as typical. Thanks again

Car does not have original paint in my opinion. I saw it in person and there was overspray in places that is not indicative of TFP.
