Re: AC for 1965 corvette convertible; vintage air or classic air?
I have looked on both vintage and classic web sites and really cannot see a big difference between the two. They both claim to be "customizable" for the old corvettes. On line they both claim to use the old nobs/controls although that is not what I am told by any of the corvette shops that install them in locally in Phoenix.
The alternator I agree needs to be moved to the driver's side. I just had a new battery put in, they only last a few years with the heat in Phoenix; it sits on the passenger side near the fire wall. It was Doug Bromley at Bromley's corvettes who told me that it would be a good idea to move the battery if I get AC installed because it would be hard to change out the battery in the future because of where the AC unit and hoses would be located.
Lots to think about!
