Recommended service for C2 corvette in Phoenix AZ

I am new to NCRS and have recently purchased a 1965 corvette stingray convertible. I am looking for recommendations for service/maintenance . I am also looking to add AC; it is going to be 115 degrees here in Phoenix this afternoon, a little warm for a Sunday drive!

I found Bromley's corvettes on line but nobody I have spoken to in Phoenix has heard of him.

I was recommended to consider Tempe Speed for the AC but they are really not a specialty corvette shop.

Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?

    Thanks so much.

    Gary

Gary, Garry Eastwood is the chairman of the AZ NCRS chapter eastwood1@cox.net
What part of the Valley do you live in? Service/maintenance does not dictate a corvette shop - as you've discovered, some have not been around long enough to be known.
A/C is a question - you might want to start with Vintage Air and ask them for names in the area who have recently purchased and/or installers in the area known to them to be competent and trustworthy. Then ask the customers if they're happy.

Loren, I live in PV. I had emailed several AZ NCRS members and since I put up this post did get some feedback. Vintage Iron was mentioned which is not too far from where I live; I will try contacting them.

      Thanks!

Gary, Vintage Air not Iron. They are at http://www.vintageair.com/

Harry: Yes thanks. I checked out the web site. Vintage Iron is a service center in Phoenix for classic cars that was recommended to me by another local NCRS member, no relation to vintage air but I am going to check them out as well.

I have to say I am so impressed with NCRS members; everyone I have come in contact with has been great and incredibly helpful!

          Thank you!!

I did a pre-purchase inspection on a 66 coupe, out near Westworld, a few months back. There was a classic car service center, primarily Corvettes, that had a great operation going on. I'll try to find his contact info. It would be worth giving him a look.

              Welcome Gary,

I too am new (just look at NCRS # ) and was looking for a trusted shop for some service / maintenance items. My C2 likes to overheat. I've been tinkering here and I think it might be the Timing / Advance. I've also been stockpiling some original parts which might need help with (Holley Carb, Intake Manifold, Exhaust Manifolds, 4-speed shifter).

              Any suggestions (Chandler, AZ)?

I use CORVETTES-N-CLASSICS & his name is Phil Mullaly at 480 213 7616. He worked on my 70 to get ready for NCRS judging. He will be working on m 65 as soon as I get all the parts. Great old school kind of guy as he is rebuilding my original water pump ETC. Dose not charge as much as the resto shops as he has a shop in back of his house & works 4 days a week as a aircraft mechanic. He is in Peoria AZ.
