    Flight Judging & PV

    Hello

I received a Top Flight at the regional but did not score a 97+.

Does the current NCRS policy still prevent car owners from seeking out a Top Flight & PV at the same Regional Meet?

    thanks, Larry

Yes. You may do one or the other, but not both at the same meet.

    Good luck in your judging!

      Thanks Patrick

Here's an email I sent to Carlton this morning ...

I can understand why the organization would not want folks to show up for a regional, score 97+ & PV, then go to nationals later in the year & be done.

However, for members that don't score 97+ on the first judging, it will take a minimum of 3+ years to make it to nationals unless you're willing to tow your car a 1,000+ miles which probably discourages members.

Has the organization ever considered, allowing members that have already made Top Flight but not a 97, to be judged the following year for both TF & PV at the same meet?

I realize lil ol Larry is not going to change NCRS's SOP but from a Global NCRS Member Engagement perspective, it would seem to make sense .... ? From a marketing perspective, this may be a way to pull back in some ex-members that left the organization because they "gave up" on the process ..... Just thinking out loud at this point ...

Yes, having been through this, it is a long journey (made even longer if you fail PV a time or two.....), but like they say, the reward is in the journey, not the destination. I had fun at all those meets, just more opportunities to meet friends, interact, and learn about your car. And long distance trailering is not bad with the right rig.........

I'm sure the subject has been reviewed in the past but if you want to pursue it Carlton is in charge of the 63-64 cars I think you may want to try Dave Brigham who is in charge of the all judging.

I agree you need to be talking to Dave B.
