      I remember Ford dealer were caring a can of yellow glue with a twist off top with a brush used it many times works great with brush

        Barry Blocher has the rite glue goes on clear than darkens phone (260 982 4991 )

          Dap Weldwood is very close to what you see on unrestored cars. Just get an acid brush and spread to your lil ole pea pickin' hearts is content

                I have had the opportunity many years ago to obtain the "real stuff" from a supplier to GM. I believe that it was yellowish, but not the yellow that is often seen on restorations today. It was more of a yellowish/brown in color. The best way that I can describe it is that it looks like Gulden's mustard. Like many of you, I remember these cars fairly vividly, and they always had that yellowish/brownish color. Definitely not pure yellow. I do agree with Joe L. that it probably did turn darker with age.

                    May not satisfy the NCRS color standard, but 3M's yellow death has worked fairly well for me for over 50 years.
