    Mark,
At first it was scar, I pressurized the system and the cylinder was half full of water and all the plugs were out so he could see which cylinder/cylinders had the leak problem. The service writer let him come to my stall to prove that the head had to come off.

      Ed,
Good catch, I didn't think of that and actually had it happen to me but with oil instead of coolant that was poured in an old flat head and it worked it's way to the muffler as I turned the crank over to move the valves. I was given the old fork lift that sat for years and the valves stuck so we removed the plugs and put carb cleaner in then Marvel oil. I blew the oil thru with a air hose to clean it out of the cylinders. I put the plugs back in and it started but the smoke was blowing out the tail pipe. I then thought that the rings were gone and decided to drive where it could sit to be scrapped before the spark plugs fouled. It seemed to have a bunch of power and the plugs didn't foul. I drove it a bit more and pulled the plugs and they were clean, no oil. That's when I new that the mufflers had all the oil in them. After about 1/2 hour and a bunch of smoke it was a happy ending for a old fork lift.
