I am in the process of putting a 1970 LS5 with AC that has been apart since the early 1990s. I purchased it last year, and am making headway, albeit slowly. I am currently trying to put the heater core back in.
I have three vacuum hoses that I have no idea where they go. I have a pink, orange and white stripe hose. I'm have the diaphragm on the heater core box that doesn't have a hose and neither does the diaphragm on the outside footwell of the passenger compartment. The white stripe I'm guessing is for the heater control valve, but how does it pass through the firewall? If anyone knows where these go or has pictures of the routing of everything on the evaporator core it would be appreciated. I looked at the assembly manual but couldn't find page where it showed the hoses and where they go.
once I get this part done I can then start on the engine that is currently sitting in my garage on an engine stand.
