    Push through gas cap

    Has anyone out there ever heard of a "push through" gas cap for a C3 Corvette....got a little bit of an arthritis problem

    They made one for any GM car with the later screw-in threads, but I've not seen one for the earlier caps. You might think about a locking one, as they are easy to twist the key and remove. I just find them a PITA to have to use a key.

        The don't seal well, either, and often leak fuel when the car is being driven.

          I just sold a 1971 LT1 Convertible that was in a barn. Bone stock except for engine block. As the buyer was checking out the car we noticed the gas cap area. It didn't appear to be anything but stock and it had a screw in smaller cap that had the small hole for unleaded type gas.

            I have no idea where someone came up with that but I feel certain the car was not originally built that way.
