I have a '65 big block coupe, is there a way to lower the front edge of the hood , there are no shims under the hinges to remove to lower the hood?

Anthony,
I slid my hinges around a bit and got some results but found that raising the nose with the braces will help.

Re: 65 big block hood alignment
There is probably an underlying problem such as the frame rail misaligned or header bar bent causing the problem. You can try a couple of things that may help. As previously mentioned, you can loosen the support rod from the radiator support to the headlight bracket and pull the nose up a bit. You may need to enlarge the mounting hole on the bracket to allow the nose to come up. You could also put a shim under the lower rear hood hinge bolt and this will tilt the front of the hood down.- Top
