Was the coil bracket still slotted on one side in 1973?

Sal, On both of my 73s it is slotted on the passenger side and on my 74 BB it is slotted on the drivers side. Coil bracket is positioned the same on all three cars. An interesting item is that on my early 73 (Sept 22 72) there is no condenser mounted to the coil bracket.

Interesting Russ. My (Sept 13 72) did not have a condenser either on the coil. I put one on to pacify the NCRS Judges that could not understand the term "May" have a condenser.

This condenser suppresses RF noise for the radio. So wouldn't it be present except on radio delete cars?

                Hi Pete,
Might have been able to justify the condensors absence on a BB 454 because of the use of braided plug wires, but clearly because of its absence on Russ' Sept. L82 car, and its presence on his 74 BB that's not the case. Just trying to look for some rationale! Noted, and worth more investigation in 73-74 TIM&JG Revision...
Maybe they just ran out for awhile in Sept. 72?

radios were still optional in '73 so no such thing as radio delete.

Mark, My Sept 72 car was purchased new by me. It hasn't ever has a condenser on the coil bracket.
