1965 hood release passenger side non release - help

Ok I have a 65 , side pipe car, when I pull the hood release the divers catch releases and pops up- however no mater how hard I pull or try and tease the hood up it just does not move on the other catch - ahhhhhhhhhhhh
Question
whats the easiest way to get that catch to open, I know there's a triangular plate at the bottom is it to remove that and reach up ??

help guys I know a lot of you have been there - any help would be great

There is a ChevroletService Bulletin, that address this. Service bulletin Number(71-I-11, Section XI , Date Oct.6,1971. I have a copy, but I have to retrieve it. It explains how to use and make a "special" tool to release the latchs. When I find the copy I'll post it.

I made the stick up as per Leif info , however when you put the hook over the catch - you have the led light in your mouth, the stick you counter push against the heater box, then I had to get another stick to push the hood up.

shorted the barrel on the wire , put another bend in the wire

All worked ok , just a tip have now put the stick in the tire tub - just in case - cheers Keith
