Talked with someone knowledgeable about distributors and he said there is a problem with the now being marketed "long" distributor rotor . Edge of the part that sends fire to contacts in cap is radiused rather than having sharp edges. Electricity likes sharp edges, like spark plug outer electrode. Said this radius caused timing problems. Others say?

Re: "long distributor rotor"
Bill,
IMO, the correct rotor phasing on a stock distributor with this reproduction rotor will cause no issues. Actually the round corner may help from misfires.- Top

Re: "long distributor rotor"
I've used several. SB and BB, excellent rotors. Not any issues at all.
And the quality is so much better than the other replacements available.

Re: "long distributor rotor"
Everybody on this forum should know by now that SOMEONE will find fault with any part, anytime, and for no apparent reason. And of course, we all know that GM only produced perfect parts, that never had any flaws, any variations, for any reason.- Top
