    Enzo,
check the service manual, it gives good instructions on the windshield installation. The sealer not applied to the reveal molding. It is applied to the weatherstrip before the molding is put on. Most original windshields seem to have the sealer around the molding but is from excess leaking out in hot weather. There is no functional purpose for sealer around the reveal molding.
Keep in mind when installing the windshield, variations in reproduction windshields, weatherstrips, clips, and possibly slightly bent moundings can make it a challenge and if it needs to be removed to adjust something, the sealing compound makes a fr&$!n mess.
