I am going through some old wheel weights looking for weights I can use on my 63 and found the one pictured below. Does anyone know if it is judged acceptable for use on a 63. I know there were several vendors supplying
weights for Chevrolet.

Re: C 2 wheel weights
Bob,
The weight you show was made by the Perfect Equipment Corp. Perfect is one of the known suppliers for 1960s vintage GM cars, but I think for all C2 years, on the production line the only weights used were 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, or 2.5 oz, and no more than 2.5 total per wheel. So a 5 oz weight would not be correct for judging.

Re: C 2 wheel weights
HI:
I have been using some Micro brand weights that I found that have judged out without issues. I had sourced two types and one was clearly incorrect --- it was a later version of the weight that included the metric notation ---but also made by Micro.
Here is the "INCORRECT" version: (Note: this will not pass judging muster on a mid-year car....)
And----the "CORRECT" version --- note the clearly different type of casting --- it has wings near the top of each end....
I am not sure about Gary's post regarding specific sizes used but it would wise to look into that as well --- as you can see this is a 1.25 oz piece.
I have other sizes like 1.0 and 1.5 but I do not have them handy so I can't provide a photo ---- they are on the car ---
One final note --- once you do acquire the proper weights be sure to have them mounted on the "inside" of the wheel ---

Re: C 2 wheel weights
Bill,
The "bird wing" shape of the 1.25 oz weight is correct for 1960s vintage, but x.25 and x.75 were not used on the production line. Any weights with metric on the right side is clearly incorrect for C1, C2 and early C3.
