    C2 1966 Fuel line hoses

What did the original fuel line hoses look like? I'm talking about the ones from the fuel tank sending unit to the rear fuel line and the front fuel line to fuel pump. I have a 3 ribbed hose from the DOC, a plain hose from LIC and a hose from eBay with GM [] ink stamped on it? Looking to use the best one. I looked thru the archives and found one post from 2009, so I thought I would revisit this.

The original hose on my April 66 car that connects to the gas tank doesn't have any of the above markings. It is what I call "alligator" finish with the scaley bumps.

My car also is an April 66 and the hose that went to the fuel sending unit to the fuel line has three ribs on the hose. If you have a 1966 judging manual, on page 177 is a good picture of the three ribbed hose. I also believe that GM had a few sources for hoses at the time.

Brian, If you are going to drive the car and use ethanol you should use the proper hose from an auto store. John

I agree......best to choose fuel-evap-pcv SAE 30R7 hose. It's rated for 50psi and is ethanol resistant.
