    1954 washer knob question

Is the rod that extends from the knob a replaceable item and how would you do it or does the knob just need to be replaced with one that's not broken. Is there a spring in there? Thanks as always!! Anybody have a nice "less/stations/more" radio knob for sale? I have the other one. Thanks again!

      Re: 1954 washer knob question

By chance would anyone of our 53 - 55 experts have a photo of this assembly? I was not aware of the spring, but it makes sense since it was not apparent to me how the button would "pop-out" after it was pressed. Interested in the spring and its placement - I assume it was between the knob and valve perhaps.
      Thanks,

John - correct - its a tiny spring - similar to a ball point pen
