    Power Window Harness

I AM WORKING ON A 1966 WITH POWER WINDOWS AND i NEED TO REPAIR OR REPLACE THE HARNESS, i HAVE THE WINDOWS TAKEN OUT AND CAN REACH THE CONNECTORS BUT CAN NOT SEEM TO BE ABLE TO DISCONNECT THE ROUND PLASTIC CONNECTORS.ALSO CAN ANYONE TELL ME THE CORRECT ROUTING OF THE HARNESS ? DOE'S IT RUN ALONG THE FLOOR BESIDE THE TRANS TUNNEL AND VERTICALLY UP UNDER THE CONSOLE TO THE SWITCH OR ALONG THE UPPER SURFACE OF THE CONSOLE ? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

    THANKS,

    Ed ,

If memory serves the white connector entering the motor is a double pronged type, requiring both sides compressed to remove .

Yes along the floor . Here is the AIM page on it for further help.

      Re: Power Window Harness

Jim, Thanks for your response I assumed the harness ran along the floor and vertically up to the switch, it just seems to put stress on the wires going into the cup for the switch. Thanks for the info on the harness connectors now if I just figure out how to get my hands on them and compress the tabs. With the motors in the doors this has to be done by feel.
