'88 seat - is this a factory piece of tape

The driver's seat in my '88 has a piece of tape that has "D/S" on it. It this a factory marking that I should leave or something put on later that I should remove?

John, Off the subject question, Did you ever find the 88 cassette tape you needed? If not PM me , I might be able to help.

Had the drivers seat out of my 90 apart last year to fix the seat transmission and didn't see any thing like that. I did see some grease pen writing on the inside of the bottom frame.

Looks like someone may have removed the seats and they just marked the driver side with "D/S."

Ah. Yes - I had new covers, foam, and bladders/pump put in during a total rebuild of both seats (the old ones were shot). It's gone from the seat. Thanks.
