    C2 Shock Absorbers...

Have some new shocks to paint but I'm out of shock absorber gray paint sold by vendors and I don't have time to wait to order some...

Can someone please share a manufacturer and part number for the correct gray paint application for C2 shocks..???

Thanks in Advance for any Assistance...

Standard suspension shock absorbers were actually a blue/gray color. Except for the specialty paints available, I don't know of any commercially available equivalent. F-40/F-41 shocks were usually more of a straight, medium gray.

I had thought F40 suspension shocks in '63 and '64 were painted black.

        Thanks, Joe...

Should've stated that this application is for a '65...

Doesn't have to be the exact color I'm just looking for something that's fairly close...

        Thanks, Rick

Richard, I would just head to Home Depot and see if you can find a light gray semi gloss.

Well, if a gray is close enough for you, then you shouldn't have any trouble, at all. I'm sure that you can obtain a semi-gloss medium gray in just about any hardware, paint, or auto supply store.

                      Try Rustoleum #7786 Smoke Gray.
This subject came up a long while back and the Rustoleum #7786 was suggested as it is very close to the Quanta gray/blue paint.
