My latches are in great shape; however, someone has removed the rubber from the handles. Is the rubber available? Has anyone repaired this problem? I thought about dipping the handles in the liquid rubber handle product sold at hardware stores. Thanks in advance for any advise and suggestions.

Are you talking about the latches on the convertible top or the latches on a hard-top? I say that because the hard-top latches do not have and never had a rubberized coating.
If you are, indeed, talking about the convertible top latches, I do not know of any source for the rubberized covering. Certainly, the covering was never available separately from GM.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Thanks Joe. I'm going to try the spray on rubber handle and see if I can replicate a bit.- Top

Keep in mind that the original rubber coating on these handles was a very matte black finish with a slight texture. It was not "shiny black and slick".In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
