When ordering a 1988 35th Anniversary option (Z01) the blue transparent removable roof panel (option 24S) was included as part of the (Z01) package. If the buyer wanted the dual roof option was the only choice another transparent top, or was it not possible to order dual removable roof option (C2L) when ordering the car with the (Z01) anniversary option.

The dual roof panel option (C2L) included a transparent panel and a solid (painted) panel. The transparent panel was always installed on the car, while the solid panel was stored in the car. (if reversed, the transparent panel has a tendency to warp due to heat buildup in the car as it is parked in the sun.)
unfortunately, I am not able to answer your question, if the C2L option was available on the 88 35th Anniversary cars. Hopefully some owners will chime in and possibly report their option code findings.
