Block 3963512 Date Code

I have a 3963512 block. The date code located on the right side by the motor mount appears to be K08. I've rubbed pencil on paper over it, put chalk on it and rubbed paper, etc and that's what it appears to be. I know K is for November but is it possible to have a 0 before the 8???

There was no zero, but sometimes a 6 or 9 could be so messy as to look like a zero.
