Real Deal FP Bolts 67 Tripower

Here they are http://www.ebay.com/itm/201550281914...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT and I watched this auction last time around when the bidding went to $1425 reserve not met. Now they are at $1500 buy-it-now. I have bought stooopid expensive parts in the past but just can't get past this one. No way I can consider $750 for a 1 inch bolt. Yes I know they are unobtanium. I have some repros that were made years ago (Fortier) that are fairly close and good enough for me. I found an Irwin screwdriver several years ago and went for it as my car is an original N89 option per tank sticker and still has the 5 bolt-ons with it. I guess if "money is no object" then someone may well need these FP bolts. What say you?

I find it interesting that someone bid to 1425 but is unwilling to pay another 75 to get them

That said, if one wants to make their car absolutely original then its the way to go. My concern is that there are now really good repos out there so it makes these harder to justify.

Cheap compared to those 5 non-DOT 6.70X15 Firestones for sale.

Now old JD will have to look for bolt stash as the rest of you will be doing. We may be rich and not know it.

You got that right! Last weekend I went through (again) two old boxes of my junk bolts - thousands of 'em - yup, correct, zero FP bolts.

I'm not buying - the shipping charge is outrageous!

I need these, but I'd have to sell they car they would go on to afford the bolts.

Hi, better late than never. All original, what a crock. Are your tires, paint, carpets, seats, dash pad, glass, soft top, emblems the list goes on original. No there not. so all our cars are not original. The cars that may seem to be survivors, who knows how it was put together at the factory as far as what mood , frame of mind, bad hangover, loss of a loved one, etc. what bolt or nut or fastener went where depends a lot on how he felt that day. A correct survivor may have fallen in that category but wasn't the one they compared all others to. There are no ladies and gentlemen who worked on these early cars left to tell us what was consistently done as far as to match exactly to the last car. But we do love our cars.
