3-Q-69 will get you most of the way there, and it is what most people would do. If you really want to go over the top, since A22 is probably late enough in the month you could mix 3-Q-69 with 1Q-70. Depending on where the dates fall on the cable they might not all be visible to the judges when installed, so the expense of two dates might be wasted. Unfortunately there is no way to tell where the dates will fall on the cable until you have them in your hands. I don't know if the reproduction manufacturers make any effort to install the dates where visible or not. I can assure you that Packard Electric didn't care where the dates fell on the cable. Right, Bill?

BTW Bill: Thanks for the reminder that the dates are when the cable was manufactured. Over time that slips my mind. Cutting terminating and shipping adds to the time lag.

Jim I would love to see your car. Let me know if you are bringing it to a meet some day.

Terry is will be awhile. I've got the body to start on next and I have to spend a little at a time. I've got a almost complete roller right now. I don't know how to post pictures on here.

          Jim
          posting photos is not difficult.
These instructions are pulled from the Discussion Board FAQs up in the tiny tool bar above, just above the threads.

How do I post a Photo?

Photos can be posted by clicking on the image in the editor screen..
This will bring up a box where you can browse on your computer for the image you wish to upload, or you can upload an image from a URL. URL is a link directly to the photo from a location on the internet.
There are limits to the size and number of photos allowed to be posted. Full size camera images would soon fill the server’s storage space.
Typical camera photos can be from 5 to 15 megabytes in size. The limit for posting here is 300 kilobytes. If the photo is larger than that the server will resize it to 800px x 600 px. A typical photo I tested from my camera was 12.4 meg in size. 2544 X 1696 pixels. That is 35 inches by 23.5 inches in size. That means that you would have to scroll your screen from top to bottom and from side to side to see the entire picture.
In order to have a little control over the optimization rather than depend on the server software to automatically do it I optimized the photo so I could upload it to the forum. After optimization this picture is 800 X 533 pixels and reduced to 256 colors. After optimization it is only 57 kb in size and works well.
Many of the image editing programs that come with printers and with cameras will optimize a photo for the web. I can not begin to tell anyone how to use the programs that you have with your printer/camera, but look in the help file of your program for Web Ready or Optimized. These terms will lead you to what you need to find out how your program will reduce a photo so that you can post it here.
You can upload a Maximum of FOUR photos or files or links per post! More than 4 will cause a 403 error. Repeated attempts & you will be locked out! Contact the Helpdesk to be unblocked.

Some browsers can block photo uploads, especially if you have ad blockers installed.
I can't upload to this site using Firefox, so I swap to Chrome to upload here. It's the only time I have the problem, and the only time I use Chrome. Every other forum I visit has no such issues.

you can go into the Test Forum and practice there loading pic files. As Patrick says, load on Chrome and try it with that browser.

Re: 70 LT1 correct date code plug wires.

I also forgot to mention that the dated wire in bulk form (ready to be processed into individual wires) was not stored in any first-in first out system, it was stored under the steam tubes in the wire manufacturing area, and when a new reel was needed the machine service person grabbed the first reel he saw of the correct part number. So a set with one or more wires dated differently from other was not beyond the norm, as the Sparkplug wires were manufactured individually and not shipped to the assembly plants in sets.
